Mind if I ask what that is. I don't see a denomination on it. Whatever it is I like it.

I have had this coin for a while always thought it was a Canadian cent of some kind. Come to find out it is actually British...go figure. Show's you how much I know.

this is a British Crown. I bought it back 1996 when I first started buying world Crowns/Dollars. for some reason I just never got an upgrade.

Semibovinian, I believe that your coin is a 1900-O Vam 33.

Ok, here is my 1899--0 Morgan. A bit spotty on the front, but I still love it!

    Got lots of Morgans too.

Thanks for the VAM info. There is no variety indication on the NGC slab.

Here's a 100% crop of the date area:

    1900_US_1dollar_mmO_1o_DPP_2016_08_19__0042_date.jpg

It looks like there is doubling on the "1" the "9", and "0".

I suppose actual close-up photos would be better, although shooting close-ups with a microscope objective might run into problems shooting through the plastic. I wonder how thick the plastic is on an NGC slab? If it's 1mm thick, maybe you could get away with using a low power NA=0.1-0.15 objective?
