Yah, I may be repeating a couple of my selections? (man, this thread has become so big => it's Epic) ... anyway ... => this is one of my favourite songs, so here it is again ... ... this was the last of my recent 5-coin score!! (they all deserve a song) Now I'm gonna have some hair of the dog and watch the final round of The Masters!! (good times)
Last night I stayed up far past my bedtime listening to and watching some utterly fascinating music. Maybe many of you are already clued into this group/project, but Holy Shekels, Batman! Postmodern Jukebox, wow! They reinterpret popular songs, shifting the genre with captivating results. Huge new fan here-- particularly of Puddles Pity Party (and I have, to date, loathed clowns). Puddles is mesmerizing.
Thanks for the recommendation . I'm a brand new Puddles fan! My favorite piece from Puddles' majestic, melancholic oeuvre... To some in Rome, this guy might have come across as a sad, scary clown..
Nice tune. Agreed. I just got a "When Pigs Fly" Drachm / Pentobol from Klazomenai, Ionia which has a Gorgon face Obv. I did not realize they were all considered rare... tough to find! Congrats on your haul. I knew of a couple, but you have an Octad!
Continuing the Puddles parade, how about this not-so-inventive yet awesome interpretation of Royals? PTOLEMIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Those are odd, but super cool tunes (I'm a blink 182 fan, so that one was very neat) ... clowns scare the hell outta me, but that one does have a sweet voice, eh?

In Claudius' world nothing was quite what it seemed. Beneath the veneer of peace and prosperity was a seedy and violent world of imperial politics that few commoners got to see. Well, here is a song about things being different than they appear to be.

In the early '90s, when I was 18 and grunge music was all the rage, I actually thought late '70s Hall & Oates were da bomb . Thankfully, I now collect ancient coins and can finally hang out with the cool kids...
