This guy is trying to pass off a REPLICA coin for an original 2001 D Buffalo commemorative, US MINT coin.
Check it out. EBAY item # 260150911682 I've already emailed him, KING0302, and told him I'm reporting him to ebay.

EBAY is the best thing that ever happened to hobbyist scammers. I can't even imagine how many fake baseball cards are out there that were purchased for a figure in the 6 digit range.

in fairness to this seller he has posted the emails pointing out that the coin is not genuine. the true scammers will tell you to "go f*** yourself" (yes that's a direct quote) and block you from any further contact,

The only thing that amazes me is that there are so many crooks in the world who prefer not to work but to steal off others. We used to leave our doors unlocked when I was growing up when most people were honest and the crook could not sneak in because eveybody watched out after their neighbors.

however-- a $6.99 opening bid for one ounce of silver is pretty fair.

KING0302, Jim, answered: "Sorry, I'm new to coin collecting and assumed they were from the U.S. Mint. I have no intention of misleading anyone. I am revising the listing, thanks for your correction, This is why E-bay works so well, there is always someone out there who knows the facts. Jim"
However he's been selling on eBay since October 2002 with 161 feedback at 100% positive. Also, he didn't post MY email! Honest mistake? I don't think so. IMHO

However, when you add the $7.00 in shipping, it's back up to where the spot price is.

I see he revised his discription and I didn't see the original. Looks OK to me now anyway except $7 bucks S&H.
He's only about 15 miles up the road I wonder it he allows local pickup. 1 Oz of silver for $6.95 :D

If you can find spot shipped, let me know. Seems reasonable to me.

What I meant was, and I believe you know what I was implying, was that $7 for an ounce of silver, doesn't seem like too much of a bargain when you factor in the $7 shipping charge.

7 + 7 seems about right for silver, but not if it goes much past that

Of course. Shipping kills many a deal on Ebay and elsewhere, especially on small items (nothing like paying $7 to ship something that will cost the seller $1-2 to send with packaging) and when you're just buying one thing (when buying more than one item, if they combine shipping, there's hope).
