So do the gold Sacajawea dollar coins supposed to have edge letter? I tried looking it up but it seems like there's many opinions on it.

The Sacajawea Dollar does not have any edge lettering. The mintmark is located on the obverse under the date. The Native American Dollar that started in 2009 has edge lettering.

The GOLD Sacagawea dollars are dated 2000, have plain edges, and all 12 are currently located at Fort Knox.

The are referred to as golden, not gold.

Both the Sacagawea and Presidential Dollars
are struck on planchets that consist of a pure
copper core, and outer layers of manganese.

The Mint promoted the Sac Dollars 17 years ago
as 'golden' to introduce them to the public, and
to hopefully stop the problem they had with the
    SBA dollars -
