Wow! Nice collection @Roman Collector ! Not sure which one I like the best... Must be ALL of them! I only have one of her As... RI Julia Domna 196-211 CE AE As Hilaritas cornuc RIC IVa 877 But THIS one is just TRYING hard to be an AE... RI Julia Domna 194-217 Fouree AR Plated Den Isis Horus Emerging AE... an AE wannabe???
What a great assortment of coins of a great empress! A Domna Fecunditas denarius was high on my wish list for a couple of years and I rarely saw any during that time and half of the few were fake. I was willing to get a dog and had lost out on a very nice one. The very nice one came to market again and I got it. Done, right? Nope Recently one is much worse condition was offered. The opening price was very low and there weren't many bids. I couldn't just let it pass by. (yeah, I'm a hog ). Not sure if I'll keep it or find it a new home, but for now it's hanging out at my house. The one from last year: Julia Domna AR denarius, 19.5mm, 3.17 gm, 6h. Rome mint Struck under Septimius Severus, circa AD 207-211 Obv: IVLIA AVGVSTA; draped bust right Rev: Fecunditas or Tellus (Earth) reclining left under tree, resting arm on basket of fruit and placing hand on celestial orb; standing before her are four children representing the Four Seasons Ref: RIC IV 549 (Septimius Severus); RSC 35 ex R.H. Collection
That one from the RH collection is just gorgeous, @TIF ! Much better than my humble example here: 3.24 gm, 19.8 mm. Notable for evidence of cast flan production, with quite a bit of sprue left from casting at the 9:00 position. Speaking of FECVNDITAS issues of Julia Domna being hard to find, try to find these for sale anywhere: Julia Domna, AD 193-211 Roman AR denarius; 3.46 gm, 18.5 mm Rome, issue 6, AD 195 Obv: IVLIA DOMNA AVG, bare-headed and draped bust, right. Rev: FECVNDITAS, Fecunditas enthroned right, nursing one child, second child stands before her. Refs: RIC 534; BMCRE 46; Cohen 42; Hill 137; RCV 6639 Julia Domna, AD 193-211 Roman orichalcum dupondius; 10.61 gm, 24.2 mm Rome, issue 6, AD 195 Obv: IVLIA DOMNA AVG, bare-headed and draped bust, right. Rev: FECVNDITAS, Fecunditas enthroned right, nursing one child, second child stands before her. Refs: RIC 844; BMCRE 494; Cohen 43; Hill 126; RCV 6639 Ex Ars Classica VIII, 1924, Bement Collection, lot 1184. Die-match to BMCRE-494, pl. 21.4

Oh, and I also love those "4 seasons" examples that you guys have posted (amazing) Sadly, I still only have my lone Domna example ... man, I need some new coins, eh? Congrats again on those great OP-examples! Oh, and here is one of my humble Juno offerings ... Crispina AE Dupondius or As (with Juno reverse)
