Overall, I'm happy with my 5 bucks spent. Glad I gave his wheaties a trial run, the 100 I bought were a VERY nice mixture with only 4 or 5 duplicates.

Update: I may have found a 1944 D/D D/S also...grrr I need a stronger magnifier. I have compared it to the other 7 1944 D wheaties I have and there is something def. funky with the mint mark.

Most likely not a proof, especially since none were made.
Most likely chemically altered, coated with mercury, or just plain polished or plated.

Nickels from the bank. He claimed that the dumped the wheaties as people brought them to him. He just scoops them out of a huge box he has.

I actually believe now that he may not cherry pick them. (though I'm sure he scans for unpassable stuff 55 DDO's and such)
