That was a great day for you. At my local coin shop, shops that 1895 O would be 400-500$ minimum lol. One time in a shop. I ran into a PCGS slabbed 1892 CC VF 20, for only 170$. That was my greatest financial victory so far.

Haven't posted to this thread for a little while. Most of my buys have been over the $50.00 threshold. But I picked up a couple coins this week while out of town. They are very common, yet have an uncommon feature to them that drew me in. Plus the price was an offer I couldn't say no to.

The first was the spectacular 1964 Roosevelt Dime. The luster is phenomenal and just makes the colors pop on this one. I paid $2.50 for it.

Next up was this 1964-D Washington Quarter that had the neatest die break I've seen on any of these. Had this been a Morgan Dollar rather than a Washington Quarter, it'd be a spectacular example. Check it out the break around the top of the 1 is what really sold me on this. I paid $4.00 for it.

Great find on the '64 Washington! It looks like it's possibly rim to rim? I would love to see an even later die state example of that. :)

That's a cool slab and the coin looks nice too!

I have actually not seen one before.

@Conder101 is this the same slab as you describe below:
NCCA (National Coin Certification Association?) I'm not sure what the initials actually stand for. All I know of this company is that it exists or at least existed. (4/01) I do not own one of their slabs and have only seen one scan of a slab that was sent to me by E-mail. (Have since had a second piece described to me by a dealer. He didn’t know the company name but his description matches NCCA. He said they used to advertise fairly heavily in Coin World but I do not recall them.) I now have several examples from this company, all #2.

Hah luv it, and thanks! This one is on the list of coins to send in for grading to see what bounces back :) Although it may take me a while as it seems I've been in acquisition mode a little too long, so the list is a bit overwhelming!
