Well, after a total of five, almost 6 boxes of halves this week, only 1 1964 to speak of but did see a 1987 D. This was the month for 1987s! Too many skunks though...need more plunks.

I can't be gotten rid of that easy!;) I'm still around but I can't take pictures of my finds currently, so why bother?

I never find any silver coins. That said, I had a bit of luck this week.

    Bank 1: 8 rolls of CRW Dimes yielded a 1954 and a 1956.

    Bank 2: a roll plus 14 loose halves yielded a 1969-D. And 500 in CWR Quarters yielded a 1957 slot filler! :)

Bank 2 also had $25 in Eisenhowers $23 of which were Bicentennials and most of them are in AU condition, just a little bit yellow. So sweet!

With a little (wish me) luck...
Next week I'll turn roughly 8 rolls of pennies into perhaps a roll of nickels and the rest pennies at a different bigger bank.

2 more skunks today. Been skunks for about 2 months straight. I may change my pickup bank to something out in the burbs...

Dude! I just did the math and between 3 quarters and and one silver Roosie I did better there than any of the halves I found - just the 1964. That's nuts. Silver be silver though. Shine on, you crazy diamonds!

Box 3 of the weekend, skunk. Box 4, finally found some silver. 3x 90%, 5x 40%. Got extras since the vault teller is on vacation the next two weeks.

You do not have a pic of the obverese of that 86 do ya? I found one but it sure does not look like a proof was wondering what yours looked like.

I didn't take one but I think these were only issued in proof.

Did the front look frosted at all? They said mine did not because of circulation but its in real fine shape just looks like a ordinary coin. With a S mint mark. Just wondering if they all looked bad or if it WAS a circulation issue.

These are very common, a circulated one wouldn't be worth much anyway. You can get a good one for less than 5 bucks.

$310 CWR Halves: Any time this many show up at one of my local spots, they're almost guaranteed to be someone's dump, but I'm a sucker so I took them anyway. Skunked on silver with five NIFC, 2002-P, 2006-D, 2007-P, 2010-D, 2011-P. A few others were upgrades to my circulating set and rounded out my Whitman's Kennedy Book 1.

    $160 CWR Dimes: Skunk

    $88 CWR Nickels: 40, 40-D, 40-S, 41, 46 (x2), 46-D, 48, 49 (x2), 56, 57, 57-D. Highlights were a worn 27-D buffalo and a 45-P

    $25 BWR Cents: 44, 44-D, 45 (x3), 46, 47 (x2), 50, 52-S, 53, 53-D (x2), 55 (x2), 55-D, 56-D (x2), 57-D, 506 copper cents, and a 2012 dime

Will be doing some searching tomorrow and had a general question. Has anyone had any luck finding coins at casinos? With most of them going to the electronic money, I'm thinking not but just wondering if there is any merit there. Thanks!

I am not sure where you are from, But around my parts the local fireman and non profit groups will run casino nights and they still use Halves as their lowest bet. I always get up to $1000 in Halves every year after my local firemen's field days.
