silver has not greeny it is told me

    i am here to learn on a forum why could no one say silver has not green spores out ground/it would be nice that men say it
    he told that to me
    silver has not greeny he said that

    he want to clean it/ and see it is not a fouree

    he said if i clean my coin mabye you can see bronze then it is fouree

    silver can have greeny on'em and may not be a fouree ro.that koin is not a fouree i don't believe.

    i think ro is saying that if this coin is silver, it shouldn't have green patina on it like a AE coin?

    if so, it can if it's got a pretty good percentage of bronze, or if it's been hoarded with bronze, or maybe it just has some mineral type deposits on the surface? as far as how debased roman coins are, i can never remember when and what unless i can tell by looking at them.

    Oh gosh, I came too late to chime in. First thing, it is certainly not a fourrée. My previous comments about this same coin clearly indicated so. Secondly, I wouldn't have cleaned it. Oh well, it's your coin, do as you please ...

    I've seen plenty of ancient silver that has minor mineral deposits. It's nothing to get worked up about in my opinion.
