Finally nabbed a temp of Magnentius. Not a horseman, but rather a galley.

It seems these are hard to find nice. Mine has flat areas.

The rare, rare Magnentius FTR is the Falling Horseman which I don't have. I do have a barbarous Decentius horseman which does not exist in official according to catalogs but that does not count.

Decentius is believed to be the brother of Magnentius by at least some but that is by no means certain. I have never heard him called a son.

Oops, you're right! I guess I've just always assumed he was the son. I suppose he could have been, but there's so little on him that nobody knows. Interesting!

Decentius is called the brother of Magnentius in a couple of primary sources- below is a line from Aurelius Victor

"Magnentius had entrusted the Gallic provinces to his brother Decentius as Caesar"
    De Caesaribus 42

Considering Aurelius Victor wrote within a decade of the time of Decentius, I fail to understand why we always see the 'probably' in descriptions. Perhaps it is because anything written by most of the later authors is discounted by the scholars of today. Certainly they have a lot to be desired in terms of history when covering more remote events but Aurelius Victor should be expected to be right on this one.
