Very good point, and what a lot of the other members are talking about. I can see it, and I can see some of what appear to be letters in your original post. Now, is there any way you can explain how this could have happened at the mint? If it did not happen at the mint, it is considered either PMD (Post Minting Damage) or some anomaly that is really not worth anything because it is unique and, without sounding mean or anything, something no one else wants. Interesting though.
Although I don't need to add my view - I will. It's 'chatter' from something coming in contact with the coin. There are no letters or designs, or anything at all that could have occurred at the Mint. As mentioned earlier, it's a classic case of pareidolia. Or, as I say when folks show me similar coins at a coin show, "What you see is an illusion - that's why people think they see a picture of the Virgin Mary on a piece of toast - because they want to". Not trying to be difficult or rude - but wishing it or hoping it doesn't 'make it'. It's a good start - you noticed something different on your coin, and you've learned that it's not what you might have thought it would be. You'll know more the next time you find a 'different' coin in change.
I've narrowed it down to two things: 1. A male coyote eating a Twinkie. 2. Bellman and Privy arm-wrestling in a phone booth, winner gets to insult ME, stacking, and my guarded outlook for this country. Inducements: no fear, no significance, no charge.
I think it's a wolf, with a big long handlebar mustache, holding a Duck in each hand, standing on top of a muscle man lifting weights. How'd I do?
Man i tell ya some people in here. why call people names? Some of us can see some lettering on the jacket and some cant it could just be a coin press, but to call people names is really juvenile ya know.
What would you call someone purporting to be 55 years old who refuses to learn about the minting process before making baseless claims? Chris
In any case, the presumed Troll has fully accomplished his/her goals: discord, humiliation, anger, confusion...
