    Just got the email. Usually my success rate is more like 50-60% so 80% is a nice surprise but not really unexpected as most are very nice toners. Thought a couple had a shot at the gold but alas, no cigar. Still happy overall though :)

    That is a nice result. Great going! :) So were the 1881-S's different VAMs?

    I would say even 50-60% is a good success rate.

    @Cascade, got any pics?

    I've posted most of them in the Morgan or toning thread within the last month or so. Once you get a feel for their standards and what they like your success rate tends to go up. Honestly I thought the 2 that didn't go had a good shot too.

    Good CAC's are painfully rare.

    They're both 14.20's :p

    The 60 is a 2a & the 62 is a 6

    If they were both 14.20's you'd be sending the 60 my way, right? :rolleyes::p

    I'm surprised it's worth stickering coins like the 81-S that are so readily available in MS.

    You find they fetch enough more to justify the costs from CAC?

    edit: also speaking of common dates with CACs, this was my first coin with a sticker on it picked up last week:

    CAC is almost like in the passed where they use PQ. I just don't understand what is the point. I do know that you will have to pay for the premium for CAC, but many times I don't agree with the sticker. The coin look nicer but not much, but have to pay that extra $30. or more for the same coin.

    Nice results Chris. Sorry I missed this thread earlier. I guess that's what happens when I only look at the "Recent Topics" on the right side of the screen. I should start digging into the forums themselves. Looks like you are developing an eye for what they like.

    I have a submission in right now with 14 of my coins. They received it last Monday, so I hope to hear from them soon. :)
