The files are to. Big to upload. Reducing photo size could work.

Two more Baltimore buys--not anything too excellent exactly. The first is a one yen from the first year/Meiji 3/1870. It's a somewhat scarcer 'type 2' (has to do with the style of one of the characters). It WAS in a PCGS details slab for cleaning. Very flashy surfaces and the cleaning was not terribly obvious in hand. The photos very much accentuate the hairlines. The coin is now cracked and has taken up residence in my Japan Type Dansco. Overpaid a bit, but it really was the perfect album coin.

A much more modest 5 yen, Showa 24 (1949). These are nominally low value coins, but nicer grades hard to come by. This is raw, and has much more toning than I was able to capture. Just a pretty little coin that was too nice to leave behind.

  8. I bought a 5 lb lot of foreign coins a few months back that had some pretty nice stuff in it. 2 of my favorites are a 1765 4 soldi from the Italian state Corsica and a Colombian pre revolutionary Cartagena 2 reales.

Here are a couple new upgrades for my Hungarian type set (1848-1948). The first is a gem krajczár from the War of Independence (1848-1849). This coin is uncommonly well struck, especially on the crown, with beautiful lustrous surfaces. This is an upgrade to an MS63 BN.

    Hungary 1 Krajczár 1848 (KM-430)
    NGC MS65 BN

    Copper 8.65g, 26mm x 1.8mm

The second is a gem 1/4 Florin from the Austrian occupation period (1851-1867). This coin is an upgrade to an MS64, especially on eye appeal. This coin was minted at Körmöcbánya in Hungary. Mint mark B was used to represent this mint during this period, during which Hungarian mints struck Austrian types.

    Austria (Hungary) 1/4 Florin 1859B (KM-2214)

I've posted this one before, but now it's been graded ;)

I'm very happy with the results, sending it in was definitely worth it in the end!

I finally have it back today :)

I saw one of these at the Long Beach show in February, and I thought it was a very pretty coin, but it was not competitively priced at all. When I saw this one in MS-64 (there's only one in MS-65) pop up on Heritage, I had to bid on it. I probably overpaid slightly, but I would have been disappointed had I not won it. Apparently I have a thing for crown-sized coins depicting Liberty :)

The surprise "Freebee" coin that came with my .75 Cent eBay purchase!
    2016LL_opt.jpg

Edit: Just thought I should add, The Freebee was given because I was this new eBay member's first person they have ever sold a coin to. I didn't know it was coming when I made the bid.

1989 Sovereign set.....1/2, full sovereign, 2 pound and 5 pounds. I bought it mainly for the 5 pound as it was missing from my previous sets. It's a really impressive piece of gold (almost 40 gms 22k or 36.5 gms of pure gold)

Here's one I actually paid a couple of Euros for (which I never do for non silver) because I liked the look.
