We might also see a 2017 225th anniversary set that includes at least the 2017 S eagle and the 2017 P cent if not some other surprise coin offering.

I know that some collectors already are wondering why the mint hasn't offered the 2017 P cent in rolls or bags as it's really a slap in the face imo to collectors in the central and western states if they only release it via Eastern Fed branches.

I was thinking along those same lines that they will do some sort of special set like that at some point. Seems like it would be a wasted opportunity if there isn't some sort of set like that

I never got in. Oh, well. Win some, lose some. There must have been some really big purchases to go that fast.

A four coin set with the S and W proof, W uncirculated, and bullion... 75,000 product limit, bump the total S proof mintage to 200k. done.

Interesting. One seller is offering them slabbed in lots of five and 10.

I see PCGS PR69 lots of 20. Another listing for ungraded coins sold 50 to one person at $125 each.

I tried within 30 seconds of getting my email notice and they were already gone. They are now on eBay from dealers at 4x the Mint price for a PL70. This gives dealers a black eye much like ticket scalpers. But it is also free enterprise so I held my wallet, told the wife to buy some peanut butter and crackers, called the doctor, and ordered a few. Logic tells me they will cool off, but I have also seen some issues that never cool off like the 1995-W. With a little insight we would have all bought a dozen 1995-Ws and retired.

    What did they go for?

I think I got 5 if my order did in fact go through. Wasn't planning on flipping them, maybe I should...

I sold on ebay for about $112 each. Some were going higher earlier, and they might go higher again, but I took the money and ran, lol.

What was the mint issue price again?

Edit: never mind, it's just that clicking is hard. $54.95.

Wonder how many of these puppies HSN bought? My guess for their price will be $399.95 (with easypay and the presentation box, of course)

The 1995-W was aggravating enough. Missing today's S Proof before it went off sale has almost made me want to quit collecting these things. I actually had added one to my bag on the Mint website today. When I then clicked on Checkout, it then told me there were none available and forced me to remove the ASE Proof from my bag before it would let me complete my order (I had other items on the order). And this was circa 12:03. Growl!

My girlfriend got me 5. She was pretty excited about getting in, I think I've created a monster. I was in a meeting all morning and knew I as a no go.

  16. I was in a meeting and had my phone so initiated an order. Had one in my cart, hit the order button, and got an error message so just gave up. Checked later and have a pending charge on my CC. Checked mint website and item still in my cart and says no longer available and to remove it. Hmmm.

Wait long enough and we'll get one. Patience is required in collecting.

The difficult thing here (for me to see) is I believe these will also be offered in a combo set with the Gold Eagles. Theoretically that will put a total of 200k out there and not 75k. But for many collectors $2k is out of their price range. From a pure collecting viewpoint I would rather them swap the quantities and make the bulk of them available outside the gold/silver set. I wonder if the combined set will sell out because if it doesn't then the projected quantity of ASE will actually be lower.

Put in my email for a reminder on they US mint site and they sent it over at 11:06am which needless to say didn't do me much good.

If they do announce another set out of the blue, I'd think it would be another silver eagle set of some sort. Those always seem to be popular.

Does your order history list the order? Mine took a while to show up this morning. Something happened if it managed to ping your card.
