    My guess is that the first is more like you perceive it in hand but a bit too dark. While I think the second is just a little too bright but displays the details better.

    Perhaps @dougsmit will offer his comments.

    I don't like either set of photos, but I'd go with the first one if the lighting was increased.

    The last photo is terrific!! If you can 'crop' the empty space, it'll make it look even better:)
