All I wanted was a normal one, none of that grading BS. Do I buy one on ebay now or wait and risk another 60 second sell out on the Limited Edition set...
Now the question is, due to collector disgust, will the mint make 200k LESPS's? Until they announce, the market may assume 50K as usual and these may go way up in the mean time.
I seriously doubt they won't have limits on the Limited Edition set. Plus they can throw it into another set if they want too.
I only found out about these sometime late last week, only because it popped up on my Google news feed. Who would have guessed, Google news feed is good for something. Also, really creepy they know my interestes and probably everything else about me.
The Limited Edition sets are over priced, but probably still cheaper than buying a secondary market Congratulations eagle...
They will be soon. I bet a lot of those cheaper presales end up getting canceled by the sellers after word spreads how fast the sell out was
UPDATE! Just got an email (34 minutes after my order submission) that my order is processing! Does this mean I got in? Confirmation USM04985XXX
I think it's going to appear in another set as well as the mint hasn't yet stated a maximum mintage just the product limit. They did this with another eagle one year where it appeared later and pissed everyone off. Anyone wanting one of these I'd wait and not pay the secondary market price anytime soon. We already know that it will get released again in at least one more offering, if not more than one.
I dunno. I think they play dumb but are actually viciously smart. They have realized that giving out things like this and keeping them limited creates more demand and hype in the future. I personally think they will limit these to this and the silver set. But they may put 100k mintage on the set and maybe even increase issue price. I could be wrong but I'd bet that's it!
The only people that would be pissed would be the greedy dealers that bought 10,000's. The normal folk that missed out and only want one or two would likely be very pleased.
I remember that, they knew they were going to do that all year and held back the info until the first one sold out. If they were on the fence about including it in something else that sellout time may have just pushed them over the edge. It's supposed to be a year of surprises anyway. It probably will end up being one of the keys but at the very least I anticipate them doing something to make the next offering much more available. They have a great opportunity after that to gouge on a product or use it in a product that the generally have trouble selling
True but at the end of the day the big boys, dealers, and flippers are the hand that feeds the mint on most products. If they walked away from new mint offerings their sales would plummet
