I wonder why that crown is so different from the one I posted a while back. It was not like the UK to make drastic changes like that.

    Davey,

I am kind of curious. You seem to be posting a lot of these £2 Proof coins. I was wondering if this is an ongoing set of coins which you subscribed to. Are they also circulation coins or are they just put out for collectors? They are certainly nice looking coins.

They are circulation coins, I have every design struck, in proof or Unc.
I also save the pocket change £2`s in a jar, hate spending them :D

When I left my native land, 40 years ago this year, I remember seeing one coin for each denomination. I grew up with hapennies and thupencies! How things have changed!

A new 12 sided £1 hologram coin came out today, its based on the old Thrupence.
I won`t post a pic, otherwise it will spoil the continuity.

Is that supposed to be GBR or 2008? It seems like neither.

It's neither. Please stick to the guidelines when posting.

    Somebody post a 2008 or a GB.

The OP did note that a dual/multi dated coin (like a commemorative) then all dates are eligible. For the one right above, we get Great Britain, 2009, 1796 and 1759 to choose from.

1796, I choose you! (Plus, it's Great Britain too).

Nope! Not a cent. It is a penny. I probably spent many of these as a 15 year old. After all, a penny back then quite a bit, relatively speaking.

This is Great Britain meant for circulation in India... so I think either is fair game for next play ;)
