Has anyone heard anything about errors on the North Dakota quarter, collar die errors in particular. I found one in circulation today, and can't really find out much about it. Thanks

Edit-I know this coin isn't an extreme error, I'm just asking in general about error info in regards to the North Dakota quarter

There are only two listed, both as doubling at Washington's ear lobe. I am also aware of a Cud on the 2016D. The doubled dies are listed on www.doubleddie.com and the Cud is listed at www.cuds-on-coins.com.

And, unless you post photos, you're not going to find anything about it here, either.

I'm sorry I did not answer your original question directly but perhaps someone here might know a site that better answers this directly. I'm really not all that familiar with collar issues.

Maybe I worded my post wrong. Was asking, in general, if anyone has heard of errors, particularly collar die errors, associated with the 2016P North Dakota quarter. I was only stating I found one today, but here's a picture. I wasn't asking about the one I found because it's not an extreme error by any means, was just curious about errors in general with that specific coin.

No problem! I'm glad you steered me to the sites. You never know when you may stumble upon something in reading and learn something new. I do it all the time

Can you post some pics of the edge?

Sure can. Let me know if these are ok, if not I'll try different angle/light

Please post a photo of the obverse. It could be a misaligned die.

So far, it looks normal to me.

If it looks normal, that implies you're saying they are all made shifted up and to the right. Which obviously isn't the case, because I'm sitting here looking at another one right next to it with a perfect rim all the way around, unlike this one...here's the pic again, notice the difference at both arrows

A slightly misaligned die strike. Very common.

And again... That is why I asked about the errors in general for that coin, not the coin I found. After searching for errors, I found none and became curious if there were any at all. Just forget me mentioning about a coin I found, that may make my question a little more clear for you....

Yes, it does appear to be a misaligned die strike. Thanks!

Common, but still fun to find in pocket change lol

Yeah, it is neat when you find something that causes you to do a double-take. Below is the first error I ever found in an order from the Mint.

First off I want to say welcome to CT. Second, evidently nobody has informed you about the search box above your avatar on the right side of the page. When you have a particular coin your interesting in finding information on. To find out if any other member has posted anything on that coin, put it in the search box you will be brought to members that have posted threads on that particular coin. Sometimes you'll find nobody has posted. But it's always a good idea to check. Here is one of my threads you may be interested in, so far I haven't came across any with rim damage yet.
