Both my kids were born early. One 4 weeks. One 2 weeks. We weren't prepared.

But when they come, everything else hits pause. As a part time coin dealer, I couldn't just stop selling for a few weeks while waiting for the baby, but when the time comes, life hits pause for a day or two at least.

Well I have four kids now, the youngest being 16 days old. And although one can never be truly prepared we were ready enough to where it really wasn't an issue for us.

Thankfully I've never had to experience anything like that. Every single one of our four was late. I imagine it's a whole different experience if the child must remain in the hospital for a long time before they can be brought home. Thankfully the worst experience we had was with my son, who was signed off as being OK by the birth hospitals pediatrician; but rushed back to another hospital with a pediatric unit the next day because he was completely yellow. He had jaundice so bad he was in the hospital for I think four more days spent strapped down on a board under a light until we could bring him home. But he recovered fine after that thankfully and no further issues.

My sole offspring was right on time. Amtrak should be so lucky.

I know @jwitten already stated this but if someone decides to scam you and you sent the money F&F, you can pretty much kiss the funds goodbye as there is absolutely nothing PP will do for you.

Not true. I have heard of a few instances where they gave people a one time pass so to speak. Those were in the mid to high hundreds however so I wouldn't waste the attempt on a small loss

Do you have a link to evidence as to where they refunded someone who sent funds F&F against Paypal's TOS for a purchase and then got ripped off yet refunded?

Multiple members on the CU forum a few months ago were scammed on bst there by some guy using FF and PayPal gave the ones who asked their money back but told them it was a one time thing. Some were in the high hundreds. I'm not good at searching for old threads but it happened.

I don't recall the gentleman in question asking for you to openly humiliate him either, but that didn't stop you, now did it?

If you would like to go tit-for-tat, back and forth with me you can, but I can give as good as I get. Since my original post did not involve you, I'd ask you to extract yourself from the conversation. However, if you choose to continue chiming in unsolicited, expect continued rebuttals on my part. Your choice!

What's going on here? Let me guess. It sounds like books is up to his usual crap. If so just block him. This forum is a much better place when you do. Everyone should actually :)

Only fraud I see so far is using the "friends" option to transfer money to avoid paying a fee.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

You (wrongly?) outed a CT member as a fraud. Books stepped in to defend him. Sounds to me like you are wrong and Books is right.
No, you didn't ask for my opinion, but when you post publicly, you have to expect the opinions of others.
BTW, I neither sell or buy without PP invoice. I always protect myself and so should you.

Please, gentlemen, let's be nice. If it helps at all, I was not humiliated and, in fact, I most likely would have done the same as Histman in his shoes.

Ah ha. It was books! Anyway, I don't see this thread as "outing" a member. If I hadn't responded in a week whatever the circumstance to multiple messages I would expect said member might have done what the OP did. He was curious as to what was going on and rightly so imo
