If someone reads this please email me! I have some error coins and need some help with a certain find. 1976D Lincoln Penny which has LIBERTY pressed into Lincolns coat. I know its Authentic and hopefully very VALUABLE.

    Thank You,
    Heath

First, welcome to the neighborhood, Heath!

Unless you think your find is a new discovery, there is no reason why you can't post it here.

Offhand, if LIBERTY is recessed into the coin, it is likely that someone used a vise or hammer to impress it into the coin. Is the lettering backwards? We would really need to see a good image to be sure.

I have a few in Question, two Dimes, 1 State Quarter 2011D Washington missing the E in WE Also A1974 Quarter Looks pitted and a messed up Ole George looks like a Axe in his for head, In God We Trust had a really bad day when Minted, Reverse side isn't any better with United mostly gone and down below Quart is visible some ER but Dollar is barely visible It doesn't look like daily wear for the eagle doesn't show abnormal wear, The Quarter just had a very bad Mint day. I also have three other Lincoln Penny Errors A 1947 Pointed 7 2xHP Canadian Silver Dollar in most excellent condition (edited - please respect the forum rules)

    Thank You,

    Heath

Instead of a hammer, try a vise.

I have a 2011D penny which appears to be made of pure zinc! Is it an error? Doesn't look like a "normal" penny!

Many of these Copper Plated Zinc cents have been deplated. There are some that are actual Zinc Cents that were not plated and are indeed Mint Errors.
Best thing to do is start your very own unique thread with nice clear pictures.

That is a cool 1976 coin you have if I had to bet that was done in the mint department I'm new but learning quickly about coins just the way it is hit I don't believe that some one could make that coin look like that it would have a place going through the hole thing their is a separation between two places good look on you're fine
