Dave's known to be a Morgan guy, but seems to have contracted an odd brain disease and as a result is accumulating 1940-S Mercs.
This is a nice group I picked out after looking through about 200 proofs at the LCS. They all were cheaper than the 6 pack of Modelos I picked up after the LCS.
No worries Dave, I have the same problem with 1938 D buffalo nickels and 1880 S Morgans , show me a pretty one and I'm down to buy it . I probably have close to a roll of 80's and god only knows how many 38 D's
It used to be that you could exchange 10 of those Mini-Morgan's for 1 industrial sized Morgan. Those were the day's... I wish I could have experienced that.
My $25 purchase a couple years ago that had some mild disappointment on the details grade. Still very happy. Sent from my STH100-1 using Tapatalk
Nice pick! Finding a 1B4 in the wild is quite a strike. I can't make out the extent of the die crack. Is this a Harrison 8, 9 or 10?
10 - all the way - I bought this in an auction that had terrible picture and I didn't know it wasn't a scarface. I almost didn't hang around to bid but when I got it in my hands my head started spinning. Sent from my STH100-1 using Tapatalk
Awesome buy...I bought a BOJ raw in 1987 for $30...had it slabbed 20 years later, sold if for $1200 in 2012...NGC61...yours is much nicer!
Will post the obv....later on a GTG how's this tone for $35 ? The images don't do justice it's a nice target of copper tone color @Seattlite86
Bought this 1873 holed vf Indian head last week for $9 just because it looked good to my eye. Got home and discovered it was a doubled liberty, what a find, I have no idea what the worth would be with the hole. Any ideas? It is a beautiful coin.
That's a shame to have such a nice coin and variety as detailed . Why couldn't they drill a common date, and non variety . Well its top variety by date and top variety by type.
