My Key Date “V” Nickel

    She’s been circulated a lot but all the main details are still there. I bought this coin a number of years ago and I’m glad I did. It’s a 1885 Liberty Head Nickel.

    If you were to sell it, would you price it at around $250-300?

    Have you ever owned a 1912-S V-Nickel?

    Strange, that band of wear (?) just right of center on the reverse. Did it maybe get a little bent along that line, and then circulate more after?

    Yes, I have a 1912-S. I have the complete set in this grade and condition in a Whitman’s folder. I’m only missing the 1913 as only 5 were issued. Lol
