Newspaper Money

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I picked this Up less than 7 years ago and it still makes me smile when I see it. It’s called the dollar newspaper and it was family weekly issued in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Next to the words, THE DOLLAR is the obverse of a Seated Liberty Dollar Coin.
I had to take two photos of the newspaper because it’s too large to fit into one photo but in the second photo it shows the date of December 23, 1863. So technically this is a Civil War newspaper. It also shows the price of one dollar per year.
It was devoted to literature, science, Mechanics, foreign and domestic new agriculture, education, finance, Amusements and the like.
Interesting to read what is actually written.

My home had some from the 1920s when I was growing up. It was fascinating to read.

 

Haven't seen anything like that.
Are old news papers of events worth anything.
Sellable? 911, Kennedy and such.
I've picked up a few over time and we'll can't sit on everything.

 

I only get a few dollars for them but yes, there are people that collect newspapers with top articles.

 

The newspaper Truman is holding here is a big deal among political items collectors. It's worth several hundred dollars in decent condition.

 

That’s because Dewey didn’t defeat Truman.
