A coinstar machine in the entrance and very easy to see the reject slot - but this wee bugger was hidden in the dark shadow and unseen by passers by:
Another trip to Food Lion, another empty reject slot. And now they have a sign posted by Customer Service that they'll be rounding totals to the nearest five cents. I did get two cents in change when they refunded me for an item that rang up wrong, though.
Went to Walmart to snag some deer corn for our suburban herd on Monday. Pulled these out of the store's coinstar: 1997 quarter with PMD dents & corrosion, my 1st 2026 dime, one foreign and a 1976 clad S dime (impared proof).
We usually go there for our curb side pickup. The Misses doesn't want to fool around, and I lose the opportunity to dip in the Walmart fund.
Maybe you could ask for a new curb service "by the way, would you check the Coin Star for me, I'll give you all the zinc cents, just bring me the silver."
Half the workers there don't want to load the car with our groceries. Hard to find good help anywhere, .
I walked into Kings yesterday. At the coinstar was a guy dumping hand fulls of coins into the machine from a bag. Didn't fully pay attention and left. I went back about an hour later. Kings is about 8 blocks away. He was still at it. This time I looked a little closer he had a cart full of clad in bank bags. I would imagine somewhere around 5 to 1o thousand worth. I think that machine will be out of commission for a while.
