My Feuchtwanger Token

    I bought this back in 2011. Lewis Feuchtwanger used nickel copper, a little zinc, and made a variety of German silver in the form of metal to make these coins or rather tokens. In 1837. He asked Congress to he made one and three cent trial pieces that circulated freely during the Coin shortage in the late 1830s and an early 1840s.

    The story of these is really cool... but the design of the eagle with the snake is flipping awesome.
