It’s dated 1865 so it qualifies as one. A decent looking three cent piece also known as a Trime. Over 11 million minted so not to rare. I’ve owned this coin for 15 years so a definite winner.

While not a trime, they were the original "nickel", called that before the copper nickel five cent piece was introduced.
2 cent coin found at a Black civil war site. The man who died at age 21 was a Black civil war volunteer for the Union forces. Found three that particular day.
Well, they are sorta dime sized. But it still blows my mind that they'd be found in rolls 120-150 years after they were issued.
