Svarog, great addition!!! Very nice example!! These can be tough to get with god surfaces.

I just got one of these myself, although not as nice as yours.

    Congrats on your OP-addition

... sadly, I don't have one of those (Macrinus doesn't count, eh?)

Great Macrianus @Svarog ... Are you going to free it from the plastic tomb?

Still on the lookout for a Quietus. I like yours very much, @TJC. Not nearly as pitted as they typically are, and a nice portrait.

As a coincidence just bought a Macrianus today, and although a little rough it is rare and hard to get in good condition.
Bithynia, Nicaea Macrianus, AD 260-261, Æ 25 Rare.

Bithynia, Nicaea Macrianus, AD 260-261, Æ 25 mm. 7.2 gm. Obv: Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust r. Rev: The city walls of Nicaea from an aerial perspective. R.G. 867 and pl. 88, 12. Rare.
And I found a niffty video of the walls still in good preservation, apparently after Hadrian visited after earthquake started building walls finished mid 3rd century about 258 AD city got sacked by the Goths.

    Here's mine:
    Macrianus 260-261AD
Antoninianus (22mm, 4.14 g, 12h). Samosata mint. 1st emission. Radiate and cuirassed bust right / Apollo standing facing, head left, holding laurel branch and lyre; star in left field. RIC V 6

I'll probably replace it with a provincial "city walls of Nicea" if I find a good one. It's the most interesting type for Macrianus (instead of the debased and quite generic ants).

That's still a nice portrait, good luck with finding one like I just bought in better condition I think there is still only one on Vcoins and it is twice the price of mine, link..https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/c_...ct/macrianus_ae_24_nicaea/641202/Default.aspx as you go for better portraits you might struggle, I find better luck on reverses, but real hard to get both.

That's a beautiful bust of Marius, was that expensive?

Luckily, I found it in my pocket change

... yah, it was expensive (but I have zero-regrets, because it still makes me happy when I see it)
