Would you have a pic? I am still trying to figure out a good storage / show for the scarabs.

@Alegandron, I think Steve is describing gem jars. They are common in fairly small sizes (~1" or so, round) but there are similar square gemstone storage/display containers which might work. Google "gem jar".

I'd be tempted to display a scarab collection in these "floating" holders, although I'm not sure how the inner stretchy plastic fares long-term:

Okay, here ya go ... I had to go find one of them and then snap a couple of shots for ya (anything for a coin buddy)

Ahaha ... I see that Hermione scurried-out and found some different examples

... her examples actually look a bit better than mine (my scarabs are able to move within the containers ... not ideal if you're moving them all of the time ... I don't move my scarabs too often, so I'm fine with my current set-up)

    ... hope this helps?

    Wut up?

My brother uses the membrane boxes in the video for his scarabs.

Man, I need another scarab. Thanks! :p

that is pretty cool. Holds them in place? and you see both sides...

I looked them up... cool storage.

UPDATE: this seems the best option. Ordered several for my collection. Thanks!

    No prob.

I found out about them when I got interested in meteorites. Lots of meteorite collectors hold their meteorites in them.

I also need to get some meteorites. :D
