    This is what I meant to post when I did the Railroad token, sorry! :mad:

    The markings from Lincoln's nose down to the date, are these machine marks or just circulation damage?

    Probably both - post mint counting machine marks.

    If the damaged areas are sunken and the edges look like they are peeling, this would be a lamination.

    that looks a lot like some of the lamination error lincolns that I have

    Captainkirk and Ziggy - The damage is indented. As for peeling, I am not sure. It seems pretty firm, but I don't know how easily it would peel. What do I look for? Should I try to 'lift' those edges or not?
