I have an SEGS graded 1914/3 buffalo nickel in my collection. However, it does not look like the overdate to me. What do you think?

I don’t see the point of the three in the center of 4 But I do see that two dots on either side of the top of the 4 plus the one at the base of the floor on the left.
    Nice find!

If it is the overdate, then I am very happy. I only paid $75 for it because the seller did not believe that it was the overdate. I figured $75 for a buffalo as pretty as this coin was worth that.

From what I see, I think it is the overdate.

I think it's just toning patches that look like some of the overdate features. :( I'm not seeing a strong match to the images on the PCGS CoinFacts page...

If anything is in its favor, although it is not clear in the pictures, the 9, 1, and 4 do appear to have doubling.

Okay, that was one of the things I was looking for and not seeing in your images. This might be one case where a microscope would help...

That's clearer for sure. I'm still not seeing the same doubling I see on that one PCGS image - but I don't see it on their other images, either. So I guess my bottom line is "I'm out of my depth on this one".

Me too. My thought is that it is probably not, but of course I hope it is!
