    I sort of see the cause and effect reversed here. I think there are quite a few people who'd like to have at least one or two examples of each, if only they were more accessible. (Could be wrong, though - platinum really isn't as pretty as silver, and palladium even less so.)

    One must also consider that the gold buffalo is 24 karat versus the 22 karat of the gold eagle.

    Still the same actual gold content, though. The AGE is a bit larger and weighs a bit more because of the additional non-precious metal it contains.

    That I did not know.

    I wonder why the Buffalo does carry a premium over the AGE then? I certainly prefer the design of the Buffalo (glances over at his username and avatar), but don’t think that’s the only reason that it would.
