I don't get pizza from Papa Johns or Pizza Hut. I only eat the good stuff. "Less than 4 pizzas". :D

The flip it's in cracked me up, but I've seen a lot more shameless attempts. There's stuff out there in XF condition being pimped as gem DMPL. :p

I may be cheating a bit but picked these up from my LCS earlier today. Paid right at spot ($23 each) for the silvers, $92, and $14 for a '73 mint set that I pulled the top two from. The silvers are whiter in hand than in the photos.

Well I had to go back to 2025 to contribute to this thread.

Would chalk this up more so to the idea that even a broken clock is right twice a day, (i.e... I'm always buying) Admittedly not that exciting but someone who might come back to this thread in 10 to 20 years (or more) might find it interesting.

Presumably my last proof ASE purchased from the US Mint in the thread's price range. $105

Another tidbit along these lines. A 2 oz cast-poured, 9-Fine mint round purchased from Apmex Aug. 28, 2025 (10 months ago) for the sum of $92.09 with free shipping.
Silver has crashed recently and so they are asking $163 for one of these this morning. But mine can make the thread.

I'd much rather have an Eagle than a round, they are pleasing to look at. However, I like the old reverse a lot better than the new one.

BTW, I have this coin in hand now. The photos don't really do it justice. While it's got some bag marks, it has blistering luster. Hopefully that will help with the grade.

Don't think I've posted this one yet? Paid less than $80 at auction last month. 1889P, was hoping for a different VAM but it turns out it is VAM43A. Not a hit lister but still considered a R5, which is scarcer than most. 1889P.jpg 1889P rev.jpg

My all in cost of $93 dollars was for this ANACS soapbox. (Shipping was additional)

@Eduard did well on all of those coins. The 1892-S Barber half is also a stunning bargain.

Thank you, James. I can't complain - I've just been very lucky I guess. But, I am always on the lookout.

This is one I forgot to post. I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it certainly was below $60.

Bargains happen. This MS63 Pan Pac is waiting for the "under $200" thread to start up.
