My favorite find ever was a dime (massive shattered die on the reverse) but in general I don't like hunting dimes - they're so small!
Ahh, wait'll you get older. The details on a dime get even harder to see. Small wonder silver dollars and World crowns are popular.
Never though about that with the Morgan and Peace dollars... wobder if anyone would care about them if they were the size of a dime.
It’s a very real consideration when you get older and your eyesight isn’t what it once was. Which isn’t to say the popularity of larger coins is solely driven by older collectors. They’re more popular anyway.
Dimes seem harder to find anything of value of interest in general, on top of them being smaller and harder to look at. But well ironically the worst thing about them is also the best: because they're harder to look at, less people are doing so, so there's opportunity in the lesser competition. I've taken a bit of a break from dimes to do quarters for a while, but I'll probably throw some dimes in from time to time. Besides, "It's dime time!" is fun to say lol.
