I have a handful of Fugios, all circulated, that I really like. Their coolness factor, imo, is off the charts. But I wanted one that was a bit higher grade to see as many details as I could, given the limitations of minting technology at the time. So here she is. (you will note a bit of white stuff in some of the interstices at the bottom of the sundial ornament and some lettering, looks sort of chalky under mag, but does not detract in hand).

    I'm guessing AU-58, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was MS-62/63.

I do not like to guess on an aged coin I simply look closely and enjoy what it represents. Yours is a very good example of an aged treasure. Thanks for sharing, congrats.

Well, this shows the difference between people who know what they are seeing and people like me. Apparently, what I saw as lots of wear on the first picture is just a weak strike?

Really cool coin, by the way. I'd love to own a Fugio cent.

When it comes to Colonials, I am not in the "people who know what they are seeing" group.

I need a Fugio. The only one I've ever owned was a $30 holed and corroded example. That looks like a nice AU coin to me.
Weird how much I've been echoing @Mr. Numismatist lately, but ... yeah. I agree with that whole assessment.

That's a beauty but always hard for me to grade! Here's my guess AU53! thumbsup.gif

Not quite sure as there's not much online for grading but it's a beauty and a nice piece of history. ;)
