Ex-David Lawrence Rare Coins, Inventory #910115, 19 August 2026. Typically I have little interest in Kennedy half dollars (in fact, I posted a meme about that), but I needed a representative example for a type coin, and this piece dates from my birthyear as well. It is a frosty white example with a respectable Specimen-67 grade and the Cameo (CAM) designation, so it's not your average Kennedy half, and the Cameo rating means it's not your average Special Mint Set (SMS) coin, either. 019400
I intend to make a video of it, to hopefully show the Cameo contrast, once it is in hand. It’s still in transit as of this post.
I added an animated GIF above. In hand, the Cameo contrast is subtle- but it's there. Certainly this is no DCAM, but if it had been, I'm sure it would've been quite expensive.
