Hi all, just looking at some of my Classic head cents/Half cents this morning. I really enjoy the old U.S. coppers. I plan to upgrade these sometime, but they seem hard to find in good condition and the prices are steep for nice examples. Here are some pics of a few I have. Feel free to post your Classic heads, would love to see them.http://www.coinweek.com/us-coins/us...pper/large-cents-classic-head-cent-1808-1814/ http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Hierarchy.aspx?c=654
Most of my Classic Heads are counterstamped, but here are a few that aren't. The short series of Classic Large Cents has long drawn my attention; particularly so as pieces with problem-free planchets tend to be few and far between. Just try finding decent coins at shows ...
So far this is my only classic head coin (and also my only half cent); it's PCGS VF30, 1825 C-1, R.3. I need to get more of these!
Great coins you guys. Those are awesome! The condition and rarity of some are really amazing to see. Nice job
Wow, There are some really beautiful coins in this thread. Its great to see them in such fine condition and beautiful tones. I can only hope to acquire any this nice. I love all the Old half cents and large cents, so feel free to post any types you please here. Love the eye candy! Thanks for sharing them.
