This auction is about to end, messaged seller but it's still going and has several bids. 1881CC "PCGS" Morgan. Everything about it screams fake. Holder is wrong, no hologram, regular obverse, Gold Shield reverse. Coin doesn't match coin in the photos on PCGS verify, coin just looks off and mushy to begin with. I would post photos but would have to convert html files to jpg and it's too much work. Go here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/147504633023
I can tell just by looking at the image that the barcode won't scan, and it doesn't. Clearly not the same coin as the TrueView. Looks like a poorly made laser etched die to me. You pretty much have to assume everything on Fleecebay is fake unless you can prove otherwise. That's my default position anyway.
Check this one out. At least it's real. Bargain discount price, $10,000 https://www.ebay.com/itm/3366772596...=170470800&itmmeta=01M0E832CTSMSTHANCQMCZ85BM I sent the seller this message: BWAHAHAHAHAHA
Huh?!? I see three coins and a Bicentennial proof set. Not one of those coins is the 1896 Morgan dollar advertised. Are people really that stupid? (I mean the seller- never mind any would-be buyers.) Yeah. Don’t bother answering that question. I know the answer. eBay.
The best part was the lead photo is a dateless SLQ. Surely this idiot doesn't think that's a Morgan? LOL
