What's the coin that pulled you from "buying silver" into actually collecting?

I collected when I was young, cents to silver dollars. Then I had my house broken into in my 20's, they stole my gun, TV, stereo, wife's jewelry and my coin collection. I gave it up after that. But my favorite coin at the time were Walkers from circulation. That's one nice design.

Too long ago to remember as I was only 5 years old at the time I started collecting. That was 67 years ago and I’m now a fulll range collectaholic.

 

Did your antique business start that way too?

 

For me started out stacking AGE,S and Silver bars which was a stepping stone in to
AGE,S and GOLD bars, the guy that i deal with has AGE,S for $30 over spot and Buff,s for $50 and of course no tax in the great state of Nevada, he seldom has 1 oz bars so have to drive to Costco in St. George Utah to get my fix...LOL

 

I started collecting antiques and after about a year I didn’t have enough room in the house for them. It’s still that way so I consider myself a borderline hoarder. That’s when started selling them. It’s helped my collection grow and given me extra spending money.
I call it a hobby out of control and that’s why I’m now selling coins, rocks, minerals and fossils in my space. I do very well either them.
