Please Grade This 1809/11 Dime - Struck With Heavily Broken Dies

    Unlike the first example I posted, this one was struck when the 1809 die employed was already heavily broken.

    Such coins are not easy to grade as it is hard to distinguish how much of the apparent wear is circulation wear, and how much is due to the broken die sinking in areas, on both obverse and reverse.

    I am going VF25 on this on this one there is more detail in the hair curls and ear.
    Fun coin Eduard. Boy that die pair was at the end of its life.

    Thank you for your opinion! That is my opinion as well - the weak periphery reflects the weak strike due to the die breaks, while the center remains strong.

    I wonder 1811/09 dimes have been undergraded.
