They have not manufactured the entire mintage limit. Maybe 10k? It went to pseudo-backorder pretty quickly.


I call it pseudo because it doesn't SAY backordered...


but the "inStockDate" is September.

OMG, they sold eight of them in the last 45 minutes! DON'T MISS OUT!!1!

 

I mean, I was literally in and checked out in the first two minutes, and all I've gotten is "order received" and "order confirmed" emails. Do we have any reason to believe that they've manufactured any of them yet?

 

I'm actually thinking about canceling my order of the dime.

 

I'm not sure if it means anything but they haven't published the mintages yet for the half dollar nor the two dollar coins?

So, at least over the last few hours, it looks like more cancellations than orders...?

 

Their cancellation and reconciliation processes SEEM to run overnight.

If they sell one, the next person to load the page gets the lower number.
But if you cancel/return, or the cancellation is due to exceeding the HHL, it shows up early on the East Coast the following morning.

They have updated the HHLs (this often happens after a few days if there is product remaining):

Didn't they have this back in 2016 for the 100th anniversary ? Standing Liberty Quarter in gold....I see them sold on HA ?

My friend is seeing an SP(?)-70 for about $1,300...that's about a 30% premium to the underlying gold content.

Is that the market for a 70 ?

From what I have seen, some have been delivered but others are on backorder. So it sounds like the Mint only had a portion ready to ship out of the 30k mintage.

 

I'm seeing $1,150 to $1,350 on eBay for the SP 70 2016 Gold Standing Liberty Quarters (with some selling higher-mainly for buy-it-now listings). Raw and SP 69 are selling closer to the lower end of the range. So sometimes one can find an auction for a 70 near the same price as raw but other times there is a $100-$200 premium. The Gold Mercury from 2016 tends to sell for above $600 in 70 so that one has a higher premium relative to melt (although that is fairly common for many 1/10 coins compared to the larger sizes).

 

I never did get any email beyond the received and confirmed messages. The set showed up in my mailbox last Friday, in a nondescript (but very heavily taped) package from "Fulfillment Center", in Texas of all places.

The "quarter" is nice, but I wish it were the size of a quarter, not a nickel. I really like the silver medal.

 

I think I was getting the pricing for the 2016 issue and the 2026 commemorative mixed up because they both honor the 1916 release.

It's confusing.........
