https://michigancoinclub.org/events/1st-annual-lansing-coin-show/ There's a coin show coming up in Lansing, it looks like it has potential. I'm planning on going that Friday.
Looks like it's the first time it's been there should be a good show I haven't been to a coin show since the pandemic
I'm just not feeling good about it anymore. Going to the show just reenforced it. It's fatiguing, not fun.
Yeah - maybe take a break. Never hurts. You can always just hang out around here. At my last coin show - not sure how long ago - it was mainly a lot of bullion and modern mint stuff and a whole lot of foreign coins (which I know nothing about). I was their for maybe 30 minutes and not very happy about it. It was a bummer for sure. I should have stopped going to the local show when even my LCS stopped showing up. Anyway about 4 years ago I decided to start selling off my collection. That actually really started re-invigorating me. I am still working a type set, but now I get a little pickier on what I buy. I think since 2021 I have bought about 40 coins and my collection is down to 110 coins. Not including a few raw Canadians cents and some ungraded shield nickel varieties. And of those 110 there are still some I do not need for the type set - some of those will go to GC.
