Could this be a possible counterfeit Buffalo nickel ?

This date looks like nothing I've ever saw on a buffalo nickel. Quite the space between the digits . And the mint mark has the same funny look to it ... I'm sure there's a a few collectors of the series that might be able to help .

Most likely no , the seller doesn't take returns . I should have known better with the bad photos . Bummed that I will still have to find it for my album .

Slingshot sounds good. Definitely not a Boomerang. :blackeye::doctor:

Did you receive it 1-3 days ago? If so, there is still hope.

Yes I just recieved it this afternoon. I've never had to use ebay's return policy , this time I think it is a legitimate case .

Send that one back, exactly why I buy in hand only.

I don't know what current policy is, but they'd better not have a three-day limit for reporting counterfeit goods. The Mouse's lawyers alone should've put enough of that fear into them.

That's great! I would try to contact the seller first to try to resolve it. I wouldn't immediately assume they know it's fake. If they do not fix the problem or do not respond, follow the instructions in this article: https://www.businessinsider.com/reference/how-to-get-a-refund-on-ebay?op=1

eBay will probably ask you to type out a more in-depth reason about why the coin doesn't match the description. Avoid using words like "fake" and"counterfeit", eBay's system doesn't like those. Instead say something like "The item received is a replica, but was described as an original in the listing."
