Ah, I'd seen that story, but hadn't associated it with the OP. Well done! Edit to add: I sometimes can't help myself from laughing at people who are doing stupid things with wild animals. This guy wasn't, though. Sometimes you're just in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong animal.
I'm gonna add...I'd have been in my car long before thinking of pulling out a camera. The critter was in mid-DERP, I'd be in my car.
LOL - I saw that story and did not make the connection either. They used to have a bison farm down near near my exit when I lived by Barren river. You could pull over and walk up to the fence and see them. These were not wild - but does that really matter? So one day I pulled over and went up to the fence just to look and one walked up like nothing about 10 ft from me. Kind of cool - but it seemed like a tank to me. I thought if it wanted to, it could get thru that fence without a problem. Never stopped again. Bison are cool - but no desire to meet one in person like this guy.
