    VF Details

    There's some kind of minor damage near the star above Liberty's forehead and on the reverse in the "C" of "10 C". Repaired hole? (seems too small though)

    It is not a hole. It is, as a pinprick, as @ToughCOINS describes. Minor, but it is there.

    All things being equal it might be VF-15, however
    it's 200 years old and key dates get a little leeway.
    This one is nicer than the other one. I am VF-20.

    What exactly is a pinprick? Did it literally get pricked by a pin or other pointy object?
    If so, why is the damage evident on both sides of the coin?
