I rarely see people CRHing modern dollar coins

Less to look for maybe? Edge lettering, die clashes, NIFCs, series fillers, etc. I've learned a lot from the Native America and Innovation series - great history lessons!

More expensive to do, and harder to find places that even have them. But some people still do, and there are interesting things to find.

 

Rob Finds Treasure on YT had a number of very interesting dollar coin box hunts.

 

It's true, I don't do them often at all. Need to more though, I don't like empty binders/albums.

Let me try some links, because I believe they are in the middle of his library of videos so it may be hard to find.

 

I don't get boxes at a time, but i will grab a number of rolls and go through them. I have my own binder I fill and like to look for errors. Not much to find, but no loss either. They are easily spent just as well as paper dollars.

 

Here are mine, metal detecting finds. 4 NIFCs 3 Ikes and a gold plated SBA.

That's quite a collection! I'm going to metal detect one day... always been something I'd love to do.

 

Yeah, I only do a couple rolls at a time. Whatever the bank has. No boxes or special orsers.
