    I am wondering if I'm seeing a O/CC on this 1900-O morgan.

The die scratches under the ribbon from prep for re-stamp aren’t on OP’s coin

I believe it is one of the 11 varieties of the O/CC so you’re not crazy as you suggest in your thread title. a common trait to identification of the over date is the Eagles breast. Here is my example which has been graded and identified by NGC. He will notice that the eagle breast feathers resemble yours. A light struck breast feathers 1900 O/CC is the best identification for these. There are 11 different varieties known, and there is another variety with a micro O. The micro O is the counterfeit. The Carson City dies were reused at the New Orleans mint. The CC was ground down on their dies, and the O mint mark was put there. Hope this helps.
