Is This a Steel 1943 Manufacturing Error?

I think if something like this were legit, it would be a known thing long before 80 years has gone by.
Still need to see photos of both sides.

You stated that you would post a picture of the Obverse on Sunday

Please post the Obverse and several new pictures of the Reverse side at different angles. That way we can see it better

 

I am thinking China. Photos will confirm (or disprove).

I assume we will never see a photo of the obverse. But in a practical matter this coin does not exist (except for a manufactured fake) and here is why. If this coin was real, that means one of the reverse dies was missing all of the other information. If it had been discovered early and taken out of production (and the coins that were produced, there has to be a record of it as the mint was very strict about those things, they have to "account" for all the money produced/ destroyed.) Let's say this die escaped detection. That means 100,000- 200,000 (however many coins they get out of a die) were produced, and have been in circulation for 83 years and this is the very first one that has ever come to light. No one has ever noticed anything wrong with any of their steel cents. Impossible.

This new member stated he was going to provide new pictures this past Sunday and hasn't done so. Seems suspicious.

Because of the process dies are made - Master Hub to Master Die to Working Hub to Working Die. The missing design features in question would have to be missing on all of them.

 

And how many people checked for errors or mistakes? And no one noticed!
