I bought these two rolls of Lincolns 55S and 54S. I got the ends open after a little fenagling. The coins are almost shrink wrapped. You can feel the ribs on the outside cylinder. Both ends open. I would rather not destroy the rolls. If you have any Ideas please let me know.
The torch didn't work I felt like it wasn't loosening them. One ender did come out after a little tap against a corner. I tapped a few times no luck I don't want to rim ding them. If this is a preview I am gonna have some fun. The coin below is a BIE, a Clash, the beginning Of an interior die break on the 9, a die crack tht runs from the first 5 down thru the MM and to the rim. There is also a large die crack running thru the jacket with a retained IDB.
The retained Interior Die Break is RIDB-1c-1954S-01 Lincoln Cent Retained Interior Die Break; 1909 – 1958 – Cuds on Coins
Those are nice coins in that roll. I’m not sure of a good way to get them out but I did hear once that if you put them in the freezer the metal will shrink with the cold. I don’t know if that works or not. But I’ve always felt if you put coins in the freezer when you take them out they’ll be cold and sweat I wouldn’t want the water on those coins. I’m just not sure what to do but best of luck cause they’re really nice looking.
I gotta tell you this coin really has my interest. Not just because I like the errors in it but it’s also my birth year and this is my birth month so I’ll be another year older by the end of the month.
