    It looks as if this coin was dipped or soaked in acid to remove the copper plating. The reverse is quite rough. The obvious has a counter stamped of a gift.

    That's a nasty looking thing. Maybe the reverse was smoothed so that something could be engraved on it. Kind of a small coin for that though. Interesting coin CN.

    In the photo the roughness seems to extend beyond the edge. Is it possible the roughness is actually something attached? For example, perhaps it was glued onto a card or something and torn off with some of the paper. The countermark makes me think it may have been on a card or gift tag.

    Soaked too long in the agent they used to remove the copper shell. IMO
