I'm thinking of joining PCGS to take advantage of their voucher offer at the gold level, but after perusing their information and looking at their submission forms I found it awful confusing. I guess the best thing to do is call and speak with a service dude (or dudette). Any helpful hints?

I did my first submission a couple of months ago for three coins. I was worried I would mess it up too. If you use the PCGS website to submit, it is extremely easy. It walks you through everything. You can even pull up a couple of Youtube videos that show you how to do it.

The website is much more user friendly than the paper forms. It takes the guess work out of all those add on boxes. As long as you select the right tier and label the flips correctly, you should be ok. They can likely correct anything else!

I ship my submissions priority Mail with added insurance. A box within a box. I then add extra tape around all of the seams. If someone is going to try and steal my coins, I'm going to make double sure they have to work for it!

Insured USPS priority is a good way to ship. However, for priority, my insurance company charges 2.5x the charge for USPS registered. This tells me that a priority package is 2.5 times more likely to be lost. It’s great to be covered for market value if a package is lost. But it’s a whole lot better to have it not be lost at all.
